The Film Café
Produced in partnership with the New Producers Alliance (NPA) and London Metropolitan University, the Film Café gives filmmakers and those interested in film production the opportunity to network and find out what support is available to help them develop their film production businesses.
The Film Café will be a hot buzzing area with live screenings, information handouts and a chance to grab a coffee and a sandwich provided by The FleaPit
Networking Evening:
On 18th October from 6pm - 8pm Current TV, NPA, ITV Local, Film London, Four Corners and Tower Hamlets Film Office will be giving presentations to provide filmmakers with a full insight into their current grants, marketing platforms and overall business support services. This is a social setting for filmmakers to mix with film support agencies, editors, producers, funders and finance companies, who might be able to further their careers.
Panel Discussion: “From Shorts to Features”
On 19th October from 2.30pm – 5pm, a leading panel of industry professionals, from The NPA, Filmaka and Shooting People, will be uncovering this popular topic, to give emerging filmmakers real hard facts and theoretical information on how to build a financial framework to move them from Short film production to Features.
Exhibition Stands and 1-2-1s:
Four Corners, The NPA, Shooting People, Tower Hamlets Film Office, ABi, Spotlight, London Script Consultancy and Hi8us will be exhibiting and providing filmmakers with specialist 1-2-1 advice.
Film Screenings:
The Film Café is made up of pioneering and award winning shorts from emerging and established filmmakers, who have come through organisations such as The NPA, ABi, Hi8us, London Met, Current TV, ITV Local, Tower Hamlets Film Office and Four Corners.
There will also be exclusive film screenings from the London Metropolitan University.
